At my first checkup I was told 7 incidents and pacing 54% of the time. Pacemaker was installed 26MAY2017. This good or bad?

Well, you're still alive so I'm guessing that's good.

Look, 7 "incidents" is really a low number, unless of course those incidents are Ventricular Fibrillation, then you got a problem. I suspect your failure to report what the incidents were is indication it was likely a benign rythm and nothing to worry about. Many of us have incidents in the thousands every report period. Generally if we even feel them, they are just an annoyance and no big deal.

As for pacing 54% it means 46% of the time your heart is beating on it's own with no assistance. 54% your pacemaker kicks in and assists you, that's why they put it in, so it's doing it's job. And don't worry about that percentage. In fact I'm paced 100%, hey wait, now I think about it, I'm paced 200% since both ventricles are paced. and so you understand, if your pacer quit for some reason, it doesn't mean curtains for you. Your heart will just beat at whatever rate it was beating before they implanted the pacemaker.

Relax, kick back and enjoy life. These devices are highly reliable if not I woul'.,.;'..........

Good or bad--who knows?

"Good or bad?" is not really a useful question when it comes to pacemakers. Working is good. Not working is bad. Your pacemaker is working, so that's good. :-)

The right question is: Is your pacemaker working in a way that's optimal for you so that you feel well and can comfortably do all the activiies you wish?

You're relatively new to having a pacemaker. As time goes on and you get back to your normal routines, some of your settings might need to be tweaked so that you get the best quality of life the pacemaker can give you.

As for "incidents," you don't say what they are. Whether 7 is a relatively high or low number would be something to discuss with a professional.

You can hear your heartbeat in your cell phone.
