Another Cross Fitter in the house!

So, it was another "riding out the hurricane" at work experience....except this time was, by far, the most stressful event I have ever had at the hospital. I was there 5 days/4nights waiting for relief to make it in...and I was in charge. I began having my SSS symptoms the end of the 5th day that resulted in me fainting and being rushed to the ER.  I was having 8 second pauses, received multiple doses of atropine and now have a PM. So, now that I have accepted the fact that I am 47 with a pacemaker and am starting to feel good, I am craving a WOD! When reading my discharge instructions it said not to lift anything greater than 35 pounds in the affected arm for the life of the PM?!?! My heart dropped!!! Seriously?!? Then, I started questioning pull-ups (cause I am definitely more than 70 pounds), hand stand push-ups, cleans, overhead squats...and the list goes on!! THEN, I came across many of you that have been able to carry on as long as you are "smart" about it. I just want you to know that your posts mean so much to me! I was about in tears thinking that after finding a workout that I actually enjoy and look forward to, I might have to give it up?! You guys have been inspirational and I want to say thank you for indirectly giving me hope that I don't have to give up on my passions because of this PM!

Take care!

WOD away!

If you've read through the old posts (half of which were probably mine and say the same thing lol), you probably already got the scoop... once we heal we can do what we want with very few restrictions. I did triple digit jerks this morning.

Give it at least 2 months, then start back slowly. If something doesn't feel right, back off and try it again in a week. It may take a few months, but you'll get back to where you were, maybe even better now that your heart is beating normally.   So glad you found us! If you have questios as you get back into it, feel free to shoot me a message.

I feel so blessed to have this little gem implanted in me. When I think of the alternative it is quite overwhelming sometimes.
