Heaviness, insomnia and breathlessness

Hello everyone,

Am wondering if anyone here as experience body heaviness and breathlessness with or without exertion. Worst when laying down and walking.

In the past weeks i have been walking 1hr without any issue, but since last week its been difficult to walk for 10 minutes no stop.

my feets are weak and abit swollen, always feeling breathlessness, headach sometimes.

I saw my cardiologist last week, i was only feeling breathlessness when walking uphill then and he said it expectecd due to my

LVNC &LBBB, he will be seeing in 8 weeks to 12 weeks time. Iam confused and tired of going to A&E or Gp, i have been treated weired and refer my symtoms to be anxiety and effect the sca i suffered in april.

My obs are fine and on bisoprolol, hydralizine, amlodipine and mirtazapine, is this side effects from the medications or something to worry about?

Please help, thanks

Helen

You should not be feeling what you are feeling. The problem is that you need a solid diagnosis that you can trust. I say that, because yes, the symptoms could be caused by anxiety, and/or stress. They could also be caused by LVNC &LBBB. They could be caused to some extent by side-effects of your medications or by any number of other things. However, you need to know so that you can determine what, if anything you can do about it. I know that you are tired of doctors right now, but you really need to go back to your doctor and tell him that you can't wait 8 to 12 weeks feeling the way that you do. If he tells you it is normal, then find another doctor. Make sure he is an electrophysiologist (cardiologist/EP). It seems that unless the symptoms coincided with starting a new medication, you may be able to rule out medication possible side effects as a cause.

Just know that it isn't normal to feel body heaviness/breathlessness. That doesn't mean that it is something serious, but you can't know unless you know the cause.

You should try to relax, but at the same time, be determined to find the cause of your symptoms.

Sincerely,

David

Symptoms

Sadly the symptoms you describe could be due to many things from CHF, to side effects of medication, or even stress. Now, unfortunately you are going to have to be a bit pushy with the medical team but at the same time recognize this isn't a simple issue even for pros. Good luck and hang in.

Thanks all for your comments and advice.

I have seen my gp about the symptoms, she said it might be lack of exercise.

Am been referred for cardio rehab and to a second opinion in another hospital that specialize in heart conditions.

Thanks once again,

Helen.

Hi...I just am seeing  your post from 18 mos past.

Are you still breathless? Did activity (exercise) help?

I dont understand why I can be breathless on/off and I have had this PM for 6 years.

Did you resolve your issue? How?

thanks!
