Do implantation of a pacemaker causes feeble dizziness on a continuous basis?

Three months back a St. Jude Medical's Isoflex model Pacemaker was implanted in me. Last week it was reset from DDDR mode to VVIR mode.

I feel feeble dizziness at all times.

Is it psyological in my case or it happens in all the cases?

feeble dizziness

No, it is not normal to feel that way. I can tell you that I felt that way when my PM went into safe mode and it was pacing only my ventricle. I felt dizzy all of the time. My heart was beating out of sync. So I am thinking that perhaps your pacing is not in sync. If that is the case, a minor adjustment should fix it. Could be something else, but in any case you need to get back to the doc and get checked. Be sure to tell him how you are feeling. If he can't fix you, then find another doctor that can. Be persistent.

Sincerely,

David

I felt dizzy or spaced out after my last box change 6 years ago. It took about 5 months before it started to get better. I have just had another box change and although I have had some complications I still have this feeling of feeling spaced out. Hopefully you will start to feel better soon.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
