1 week anniversary
I've got 1 week in with my PM and I am looking forward to many, many more. First, I am so pleased I found this site, to read all of your experiences and advice is wonderful. My question, is there a mental adjustment or attitude I must make with my PM. I'm still feeling somewhat tired and do not have the energy level I expected. Thanks again.

Everybody is different. Some people heal quickly. Some slowly. Some people go through a long adjustment process, some hardly break stride. There isn't some "normal" progression.
The main thing, I think, is to respect your body's wisdom, and give it some time to heal and to adjust to the change which has been thrust upon it. For now, if you feel tired and low energy, rest more and take life in smaller doses. But do get out in the open air, and get some mild exercise.
As for the mental, a positive attitude makes a big difference. Stay involved. As much as you can, do those things which bring you joy, peace, and happiness. Remember to be grateful for what you have.
And give it time. One week isn't long at all to get over having someone mess with your heart, or for your heart to get used to beating in a new way.
