Entresto Medications

Just joined as I found site as I was searching for Entreat reviews.  My doctor just prescribed and based on what I have read there are really severe side effects.  I saw only 8 reviews on this site and none were that great.  I have had ICRD for almost two years and have about 33 percent of heart function.  I would appreciate any comments on this drug.  Thank you

Appreciate reply.  You are the first with anything positive.  I need to discuss more with my cardiologist again.  Appreciate your reply and hope you have continued success.

Entresto!

On June 20, I had a crt-d implanted. After 7 weeks I still had low endurance so my cardiologist changed all meds and entresto was introduced. He also put me on a large dose of metoprolol 200 mg. It has knocked my socks off. At first I slept all the time. Now, I sleep less but still take a 3 hour nap daily. My doctor wants my heart rate at 60 to allow my heart to strengthen. My cardiologist believes entresto is a miracle drug for those people with severe heart failure, like me. My doctor is extremely knowledgeable about finding a much needed balance of medicine and he said that entresto is the drug I need. So, 6 weeks after taking it, I am noticing an improvement. Good luck and I hope it does great things for you!!❤️

You guys need to understand most heart drugs can have severe side effects, but they are only a problem if you have them. Your doctor balances the potential risks with the possible benefits when prescribing medications. Yes, Entresto is a miracle drug...for a small percentage of patients overall. I was one of the early patients put on it and immediately experienced Angio Edema (swelling of the face throat and tongue) and had to get off after one dosage. I know a number of people who're on Entresto and are not seeing a benefit so...it's a guessing game, you have to decide if it's worth the gamble to you.

Took first dose with dinner at 6pm; at 8pm got out of my chair and went to counter, distance 6 ft, and almost passed put.  Took my no and  the systolic had droppedb50 + points to 85. Called  cardiologist and immediately discontinued med.

My 40 year old son has been on Entresto for over a year . His  latest ECO 2 weeks ago was at 30%.  It's hard to say which pill causes side effects when you are on so many. He is diabetic and had a bad back surgery 10 years ago. He is in a lot of body pain and still working long hours.  He would love to get off most of the meds.
