Has anyone had to have their leads replaced more than once?

Has anyone had to have their leads replaced more than once because they came out?

If you do a search for displaced leads, yes, it has happened to a few other members. I would be hesitant to have the same surgeon go in for a third time, at the very least ask a whole lot of questions first. Leads can come loose because they were in a bad spot to start with, because the heart is shaped so that it's hard to get a good spot, because the heart wall doesn't like the type of lead used, or sometimes everything is ideal and it's just bad luck. Once. If it happens twice, it's not bad luck so you need to know if it's the shape of your heart, the type of lead, or the skill of the surgeon.
