Cadaverock,

High Altitude is well known to cause varied "sensations", most likely lack of oxygen. Next time you go up a mountain, take a finger oxygen sensor, like commonly used in Doctors office, with you, your O2 at sea level should be 98+, mountain top very likely in low 90's

Some of us are more sensitive to altitude than others, paced or not. I live at sea level, my parents and youngest kid live at 7500 so I'm there regularly. I feel it more than the rest of my family. Some trips I notice it more than others. Staying hydrated helps a lot, I start chugging water at the airport. I always take it easy the first day but it can be 3-4 days until I'm up to a good workout. Even after a week there, I still get more winded than at home.

You know you're wired when...

You can feel your fingers and toes again.
