I had this device installed last week Wednesday to treat bradycardia. I am 51 years old and have had four heart attacks treated with multiple stents. I have an underlying genetic muscle disease known as Spinal Muscular Atrophy and am wheelchair-bound. It is my first device and I do not know much about its functionality and what programming/pacing options are available.
My heart rate was averaging 42 bpm and the device is set to 72 bpm. I do not know if that setting is a constant 24/7 or if it may adjust in the evening hours to a lower heart rate. The highest heart rate I had during a 48 hour Holter monitoring was 87.
I have noticed additional energy and ability to concentrate. The device installed was a biotronik edora 8 dr-t . Just curious if others are familiar with this device and what I may expect. I also want to know the right questions to ask the cardiologists when it comes to programming the device. I am keeping a log of how it's going and what I'm feeling.
Thanks for any advice or support and I have learned much already by browsing the forums.

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
