stinging /burning pain around pacemaker site

I've had my pacemaker since 2014 and over the past couple of days I have been suffering from stinging/burning sensation around the pacemaker site, more intense depending on how I move.Is it normal to still have pain like this occasionally after having the pacemaker for  over 3years.

Normal?

I still had the occasional momentary twinge and itching around the pacemaker site into the third year. Because it went away so fast, I never saw any need to worry. If it had continued over several days, and I couldn't think of anything that I did to stress or irritate the area, I'd probably get it checked out.

The big danger signals are heat, redness and swelling or pus. If you see those, it is an emergency. You need to get help immediately. Don't wait for a doctor's appointment, go to an ER.
