The month after my implant

Well I am now a Pacer.   Had the implant 3 days ago and am feeling really good considering.  So now I have the month long requirement of not lifting the elbow of  my affected arm above shoulder level, or putting it behind my back.  I want to follow these rules but have inadvertently lifted my arm too high a couple times and put it behind my back.  Does anyone have suggestions on how to help me remember?   A friend suggested putting some tape on that hand.

The month after my implant

Thanks Robin1.  I am a bit surprised myself how limber I am and how little to no pain I have moving the arm or shoulder.    But I am acutely aware of the leads losening in these early days since it happened to an acquaintance of mine who then had to go back in the hospital.

So with no pain it is too easy for me for me to move the arm too much.

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
