Lump on left side 1 month post PM surgery

I had a pacemaker implanted 1 month ago, but there’s an area near the implant site that has grown really stiff. I notice it mostly if I raise my left arm. It’s right below my arm pit on my left side. It feels pretty normal except for its much stiffer in comparison to my right side and the area is about two inches big.

Is this normal, or has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Also,  I was originally supposed to have a follow-up appointment with my doctor in January, but when they told me it was time to schedule an appointment his schedule was already full and I’m only able to meet with a nurse practitioner in February. How soon do most people follow up with their doctors and get their settings adjusted?

Lump on Right Side

It has been six months since my PM implant on the right side and yes I did notice a similar stiffness as you described especially when lifting my arm.  One lead is visually obvious on the skin.   I have either gotten used to it or it has loosened up a bit or some of both.  The whole area feels better now than even 3 months ago and I hope yours does as well.

Timing of checks after implant

I was scheduled to have a check four weeks after implant.  It happened a bit earlier due to a couple of issues.
