Worried

I got PM in Noverber of 06. I am still very tired. They have changed my meds - reset my PM, put me on a sleep aid but nothing seems to work. I am going in the 23 of this month to check the settings - was wondering if anyone knew of something more I needed to tell them. I thought after I got the PM that I would have more engery but so far I haven't.

Hi Nana,

Would mind telling us what medications you have been taking and what you are currently taking? Some heart medications can negate the benefits a pacemaker can provide. So it will help with our guesses and suggestions if we know something about your medications.

Same problem

Hi Nana
I also expected more energy and although I am better and can get through the day usually, I am disappointed. When my settings were checked, I was told all was functioning perfectly and no change was necessary. I don't exercise, stopped about five years ago when my Afib was diagnosed. My implant is new, February of this year. I don't have any suggestions or solutions other than I have started to take short breaks, 10 to 20 minutes of lying down and reading or closing my eyes. I don't work so it is easy for me. I hope you receive some good suggestions from your doctor.

Tiredness

by Blueaustralia - 2008-06-04 03:06:03

I got my pm in Sept 04, at times I suffer from extreme tiredness. When I am in this mode I take a break for about an hour to recharge. This week I have felt tired as anything but today grouted the tiles and raced around like a hairy goat. I think my energy level fluctuates according to my health. But then again, I am no longer young. It is hard for me to acknowledge at 66 with a pacemaker I will not have the energy level I had before. Hope this makes sense. Sincere wishes. Billie
