Feeling weak

Hi everyone. I am a 59 yr old female, had a pacemaker placement 9wks ago this Wednesday will make 10wks. I am still so weak it's all I can do to do the basic task. I feel like I should be feeling better by now. I am am very disappointed in the progress that I have made in 9wks. I am wondering has any of you pacers experience this. I will see the cardiologist on Friday hoping they can give me some answers. they keep saying they are going to adjust the settings. but they have not done so. I've had to be admitted to the hospital 4 times in 8wks. I feel there is definitely something wrong. Has anyone got any advice on my situation. I am very tired on this journey. please tell me it gets better from here.

First, let me welcome you to our specialty club! You’ve come to the right place.

Second, to receive the best advice, you need to fill out your member profile more completely. It helps us give you better suggestions.

That said, I was a bit confused by what you do have in your profile, Particularly that you have 2 devices. What do you mean?

Why were you admitted to the hospital 4 times since you got the PM? And why did you get the PM?

Once you answer those questions, it will help us help you.  In the meantime, however, I promise that it will get better. Do you feel better than you did last week?  That’s an improvement.  I am your age and got my first PM 4 years ago. Unfortunately, it took me 14 months to feel really well.  Now I feel great but that first year was a bear.  Please don’t be discouraged by my story!  I was improving all the time but had hoped for something more dramatic I guess!  Silly me.  I feel wonderful now but I hated those early months.

Keep your questions coming!

Feeling weak

There must have been a mistake I don't have two devices, I only have one.I have st.judes medical device. it was implanted because of the bradycardia. I had some really bad accidents from passing out because of the bradycardia. I had to be admitted to the hospital because I kept going into Afib. Nicely thank you so much for the encouragement! I really need it right now. I feel like I am never gonna get back up. Having problems with my heart being out of rhythm, so far we haven't found a antiarithmetic drug I can take I keep having reactions. I've tried Rythomol, Cardizem, sotalol, lopresser,I itch so bad I just can't take these meds. I've also tried renexa.thanks again for the encouragement!

I am just grateful to God that I lived long enough to have my ICD put in. So many people are not as lucky as us; even though we sometimes don't feel lucky.
