First pm first surgery so many questions

Hay guys first post on here im 4 days in from my surgery and getting my first PM i got a boston scientific accolade mri el dr L331. Treating a 3rd degree congenital av block of a bpm of 35-45. Have had minimal bruseing till today 5mg endone morning and before bed for pain with a fue advil between endone.

Now my questions are 1 how long is the useal healing time. 2 what are things to look for as it heals (PM shifting, colors of drainage, what could be unuseal, any pasific pains)

Im 28 and had this underlying condition unknowingly untill i spoke to my dr myself about bradycardia. As i was told after my 24h check i shouldent of made it out of adolescence becouse unlike most compleate av blocks where the atriums are working perfict and the ventricals arnt i have the opisite atriums where only working at 20-30% and the ventricals at 100%

Now i have my PM i feel alive well and less lethargic i can actualy see better and dont need to breath as much as before when speacking my headake is non existant.

But so far i feel fine and well my main things are is how long approximately will it take to heal anything i should look for and well how do i know if somethings messing with my PM

Thanks in advance guys to anyone who can help with my questions i hope this helps me as much as it has so far :) thanks from shane

Healing is individual, but you're young. All factors being equal you should look forward to healing quickly and easily with no problems and only the same precautions for wound care that would apply anytime you have stitches.

As for how long--how long does it normally take your body to heal a cut? Your body will make scar tissue all around the pacemaker and around the leads. Once that happens, between two and six weeks, your pacemaker will naturally move with your body, and will be really unlikely to shift.

Robin's right. Don't baby your arm. Do gently move your arm and shoulder on the affected side. You can find should range of motion exercises that are good to do to keep any scar tissue stretched out.

Not sure what "something's messing with my pacemaker" means. But I can assure you, your pacemaker is tough. It won't be hurt even by a direct blow, and today's pacemakers are well shielded against any sort of electomagnetic interference.

So you're seeing better, huh? Amazing what a dependable blood supply can do for every organ in the body, isn't it?  I bet that's not the only improvement you're going to find. Start looking forward to a new, better life.

Feeling alot more free to do more corners in the car dont feel as harsh and can lift alttle more.

The stiches come out friday next week thirsday for the americans on the site.

As of things that feel diferent yes my eye sight is one im not having loss of breath ether like i used to not blinking as much can foucus properly on written words and objects for longer compired to before where i could only full foucus for a copple of seconds now can hold my foucus for more then a minute.

And what i ment by something messing with my pace maker its sort of australian slang for affecting it like emi feilds or mobile devices (cellphones) and powertools how could and what could i posably feel when it comes to interference with my PM

Thanks for the help so far lerning new things each day about my new found abilitys even contemplateing picking up a skatebored again after im healed
