Pain in the middle of the chest
Hello everyone!
Had a pacemaker fitted three weeks ago,
have strange pain episodes in the very middle of the chest, comes and goes, but quite strong. Anyone had any similar pain or any complicatoins with the leads going through the veins (Vena Cava)?
Should I be concerned?
Many Thanks

I agree with Patch completely. Chest pain might be nothing, but how you feel, or whether it goes away is not a measure of how serious it is.
Give your doctor a call.

I too had chest pain for about a month as i recall. My Dr said that my body will need about six months to get used to the hardware fitted in you. Mine did.

Thanks for the comment, everyone
It's great, Snowman, that things have settled for you, I keep my fingers crossed my hardware will also settle with time. It is also very helpful to know that it's not just me "going mad" :)
You know you're wired when...
You have rhythm.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.

you really need to contact your Cardiologist or go to the ER. While it's likely nothing, those are symptoms of heart attack. I have had heart attacks, Unstable Angina, and GERD and frankly cannot tell the difference just by feel. Better safe than sorry, I'm sure you'd hate to waste that new pacemaker
