Can't sleep.
I had my pacemaker implant on November 2nd 2017. wondering has anyone else had problems sleeping? Ever since my pacemaker implant, I just cannot sleep. I get maybe 4hrs sleep a night. I've tried everything, nothing seems to help.

Cannot sleep

I had Medtronic dual lead pacemaker installed on August 11, 2017.
Type 3 electrical heart block. My pm is also set at 60 npm.
I cannot sleep maybe 2 to 3 hours a night and I feel awful.
I will call my pm clinic in morning and ask re lowering the rest rate at 50 bpm.
I pray that this will help me also.
I am exhausted.
I wish everyone the very best for a speedy recovery back to good health.

I had this problem too when my pacemaker was initially programmed with a base heart rate of 60 bpm. My night-time rate was then dropped down to 50bpm and since then I've been sleeping well. I have a Medtronic pacemaker and I'm not sure if all devices have the option to set a different night-time rate from day-time. Either way I suggest speaking to your Dr and asking whether you can try a lower base heart rate.
I hope you get a good night's rest soon.
