One week after pm install

Hello I just had this pacemaker installed a week ago due to full heart block. Although my heart rate dropped to 30 beats a minute I was still somewhat able to function but I think it scared my cardiologist half to death so he sent me immediately to the hospital for a pacemaker implant and a heart cath. So far so good except tonight while watching some old Little Rascal movies I laughed so hard it must have increase the movement of my heart muscle and my heart rate while at rest shot up to about 72 beats a minute I thought there was something wrong with the device but eventually it went back to a preset 60 beats per minute.

Try watching You Tube reruns of the Honeymooners and Andy Griffith and you will put your new device to a good test.  I am at resting rate of 60 and all I have to do is get up and walk around the room and that sucker kicks in and I am at 80 bpm.  Or have some fun and sit and let the pacer settle in at 60; then while still sitting, gently tap the area of the paceer and watch your rate go up. Viola ---- the device senses activity!! As your body adjusts to it's new friend you may be amazed at how much better you feel.  As your body was trying to adjust to less blood flow, it was taking a toll you may not have been aware of.  This is a success story.
