Medicare Supplement Ins.
I have had an ICD pacer/defib since 2013 but lost my supplemental insurance. Does anyone know of an supplemental ins that allows for icds ?

You might want to check online with your states department of insurance. That's how I was able to find my supplemental coverage. Of course I was still within the grace period where they had to take me regardless of preexisting condition (ICD). It may depend on how long you have been without insurance and why you "lost" your coverage. If the company no longer writes policies I think another carrier should have to pick you up but there are usually time constraints that you need to follow to obtain coverage. Good luck!

Supplementals follow Medicare

Most supplementals will follow Medicare as long as you are at in in-network facility and the proceedure is indicated on their standard of care list. If you are getting a pacemaker for an "off-label" reason, then they might not pay. As long as you are a Class 1 indication, you shouldn't have a problem with any of them these days. But as Robin says, it is worthwhile to check. BCBS is always a good go-to.
