Stomach feels full quickly, causes PVC's and discomfort.

When I got my first pacer back in Dec I noticed right away that my stomach felt full very quickly, like my food was sitting right up under my ribs. I wasnt pleased but joked that it was like getting gastric bypass and assumed I'd lose some weight. Fast forward two months and the pacer was removed, I immediatly felt like my old self and was able to eat normal portions happily. When the new pacer went in on Feb 6th I initially encountered way fewer symptoms; less beat awareness, fewer PVC's, no stomach issues. Last week when I rolled past 1-month I was thinking my symptoms would further decrease like they did last time, but I couldn't be more wrong. Two days later I was having a 'lot' of felt PVC's in the early evening, going to sleep was terrible. Whenever I eat the food sits right on top in my stomach and I feel like I'm back where I was. No idea why it took a month for this to start again.
Went to the ER Saturday night because I was nearly passing out off and on for a few hours, tons of PVC's, flutters, etc. When I got there they ran all the usual blood tests, x-rays, and interigated the device, all good. Doc assumes I had a bunch of PVC's and they caused a minor panic attack. Could be, I cant say I wasnt extremely anxious because of the whole thing.
They put me on beta blockers (Toprol XL, 25mg), hoping that would help. I now notice more PVCs during the day and the stomach issues are worse. A neighbor is a Medtronic rep, and a great resource for me, he said the beta blockers simply cannot cause more PVC's. But what bugs me most is still the stomach issue. Is this stomach trouble something many experience, and if so, should I expect that it might last?

Hi Bposter.Sounds like you have a lot of crazy stuff going on.I can’t help you in regards to the stomach issue as I haven’t experienced anything stomach related. There must be something triggering it.Findng what it is may be more difficult. If no one here currently active on the site you may want to do some more internet searches with pacemaker and stomach problems to see if anything comes up.

I wish you luck and hope you can get back to a good place soon!

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.

I am just now 40 but have had these blackouts all my life. I am thrilled with the pacer and would do it all over again.
