Dual chamber pacemaker

Hi,

My mom had a dual chamber pacemaker implanted in last December.  Since then she has been complaining stabbing pain in her chest area, but her doctor said everything was good and said my mom has low pain tolerance.  My mom still didn’t feel well and asked to move up her appointment back in early Jan.  the doctor said her device was shifted and had to have surgery right away.  The  next day after the 2nd surgery her doctor said one of the leads was loose and had to do a 3rd surgery.

Now it’s been 2 months and my mom still feels pain in her breast, which is lower than the incision area.  One day my mom felt extreme pain and was down on the floor screaming uncontrollably.  Doctor did X-ray and looked at all the data transmitted from the handheld device.  She insisted that there is nothing wrong and prescribed her with more pain medicine.

My mom has lost her appetite, saying everything is tasteless to her.  She has lost weight considerably and still feels pain in her breast area.

I would like to know if anyone out there has similar experience.  Appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance.  Any meetup group in Texas we can attend?

Thanks Robin1 for your advice.  I will try to encourage her to have physical therapy again.  She had someone came to her house to do physical therapy after the 3rd surgery and she said there was lots of pain and stopped the therapy.  Thanks.
