10 days out

Hello All!

I am 10 days out from having my pacemaker implanted. Like many say, I do tire easily but what concerns me is the pressure I feel on my chest- like a kettle ball is on top! I've been very careful not to carry anything heavy-probably the heaviest has been my Chromebook. I have forgtten at times and lifted my hands over my head but it's been quick. I tried to get in to see my dr today to have the bandage/stiches removed-I feel very uncomfortable and hope that by removing all of that, I'll feel better. I am super paranoid-thinking I pulled out the leads! Could I have done that??

The pacemaker would stop working

It seems that it's fairly rare to pull the leads out.  I do believe that if that happened, the pacemaker would stop working and all your old symptoms would come back.

Thank You Much!

Thank you so much for your responses- especially you,Swangirl, being so thoughtful to reply when you're even more recent than I...I do get paranoid, being so scared that I'd have to undergo the procedure again. It was not a good experience at all, in so many unrelated ways. The crappiest 10 days of the month so far-- almost divorced, the grown kids are being jerks, feel like a kettle ball is laying on my chest- what next?? I've bounced back from other surgeries faster- this one has more restrictions. I can't carrry my grandbaby....

Thanks again!

You know you're wired when...

You have a new body part.
