This is just walking around house doing normal things .Went to my ep where he said your only using it at night lets just take it out ## and put you on cardizam, well really.  I have a dule lead .because ????? Cant take meds due to low bp, but every am at 4 to 5 am I am up like a shot in the, dark on my feet .Hr goes from55 to 100, boom. Then back down.  Ep says its all me. Help. I need sleep..any way to post a pic.

up and down

If you're not pacing, then it's all you. Some drugs don't mess with bp as much as others, have they discussed that? Or ablation?

Personally, I would not be in a rush to take it out until you get the rest of it figured out. Some meds can lead to a low rate, ablation can sometimes lead to needing a pacer, so you could take it out and end up needing it later. If your rate gets straightened out, then have them turn the pacer way down for a few months. If you feel good after that, then it's time to talk about taking it out.

Ask if your pacer is doing a self check at 4am.

i am probably misunderstanding your post too but I'm not sure what question you are asking.

It seems that you have a chronic heart irregularity which the pacemaker will not help,

All your PM will do on the present setting is to stop your HR falling below 55. Pacemakers cannot be of much help for irregular rhythms . Cardizem may help there, may not. BUT if you would get bradycardia without your PM then it would be best to keep it. Your EP doesn't seem to think that this is the case though.

It is possible that your pacemaker is responding too readily to minimal amounts of exercise so ask your EP about the rate response setting. A RR setting which was right for you initially may not be right now , the sinus node may have changed over time.

From what you have written, Cindy, i would be thinking about getting another EP because your present one doesn't seem to be communicating very well with you.

Tracey is right to suggest that the daily PM self-check could just possibly be causing your problems at 4.00 am so you need to discuss that with your EP.

I hope that you sort out your issues, you must be fed up.
