just a bit of advice please

Morning all from Suth Africa. Had a dual paced pacemaker for just over a year and making a huge positive difference. Recetnly, not feeling so good - heart rate jumps from 52 to 130 and then back again, feelzing dizzy, have palpatations. no blood pressure issues, not on any Meds at all.

Had a full check-up at hospital - they found nothing, saw my cardilogist, nothing. Has anyone else had these kind of issues - no longer sure what i am feeling is real or in my head.

any advice would be good - Jason

Intermittent heart arrhythmia

You need ECG ( EKG)  monitoring to catch the arrhythmia on a tape. A Holter 24-48 hour recorder if the arrhythmia is frequent, otherwise an interval recorder ( eg. Kardia- uses your phone ) .

Your symptoms sound very organic. I would not be reassured by the finding of nothing on examination and on a single ECG recording when you are not having symptoms.

Some pacemakers can be interrogated to find out if your arrhythmia has been noted.

Best to get it sorted,

Arrhythmia

In addition to the advice above, recommend asking for a stress test if the Holter monitor doesn't capture these irregularities.  The hospital and cardiologist didn't see the problem during your visits -- but what you feel is real, so get further testing.
