Hiking Trip

My pack is loaded and I'm ready for a 4-day hiking trip.  My buddy, Tom, and I are hiking the Fundy Footpath - the most remote, difficult and scenic trek in my part of Canada.  We are leaving Thursday morning.  I've been resting the last couple days, eating well and drinking water in preparation for 9-10 hours of hiking each day.  My pack weighs 26 pounds - everything you need (tent, sleeping bag and food) needs to be carried on your back.  I certainly hope my boot camps have prepared me for this.

Hiking the Fundy Footpath has been on my bucket list.  So when I turned 50 in February, I committed to doing it this summer.  I'll post some photos when I return.

I'd challenge anyone who says pacemaker recipients can't do it,

Blake

You truly inspire me.

I have had my pm about 10 months and it feels as challenging as the hike you are about to persue.

Have a great time. Looking forward to hearing some good stories :)

Vince.

I do find that the strap of my rucksack can rub over the pacemaker site.

You may need some extra padding!

Enjoy the hike.

I love this new part of me, and very, very thankful that this technology exists and I know that it's all only going to get better over time.
