i have had a pacemaker for a yr and a half but had to have a new one put in last month as the old one got infected following a lead surgery. in august they will be doing complete ablation and i will be totally dependent on the pacemaker. (i have suffered from Afib with RVR for over 2 yrs and cardioverson and even ablation have not corrected it to sinus rhythym in numerous attempts) i have a high genetic history of heart issues, pacemakers, heart attacks (i had a heart attack in 2009), bypass surgeries, chf and all inbetween. i am hoping the total ablation will put the fatigue, dizziness, passing out, lack of energy into a better situation. thank you for any insight and just for being here as it is just my husband and i now and there is no other support.

I wasn't really self-conscious about it. I didn't even know I had one until around six or seven years old. I just thought I had a rock in my side.
thank you so much

thank you so much. it is an awesome feeling finding others and helps tremendously with the anxiety and fear of being totally dependent on a device. thank you again.
