Its pacemeker time

REF:  (71-70 M, basically good health)  Bradycardia for 40-years, with RESTING pulse now dropping to 38 at times and 35 at sleep (2-wk wireless heart monitor)!  Any effort climing small hills or mowing yard causes:  extreme light headedness, minor SOB, chest pressure and sever fatigue in extremities.  If is stop said activity, symptoms disapate.

Well spent the weekend in the ER, thinking I'd had two TIA's, however, a C-scan and MRI found no obvective evidense.

Had a stress test, and it took forever to get above 60 bpm, the goal was 140, but I about collapsed at 110, with a ST depression of 2-3mm

Yesterday, I had a Heart Cath, with pressure testing, and one one 40% blockage was found.

So 3 cardiologist got together and feel that a Pacemaker id the best next step

So tomorrow, 6/22, i go in for a Double chamber (??) pacemaker.

I now have a lot to learn today, to get ready for this new chapter in my life.

Thanks a million for the support found here

PS:  Looking forward to being able to hike the Mtns again

Sounds like you are more than ready! You should feel like a new person once your heart rate is back to normal again.

It’s done

just got home from the hospital, with a double chamber Medtronic PM.  I guess the ordeal was rather uneventful, however, right now I feel like I was shot in the upper left chest with a 308winchester 😁

it’ll take a while for the positive comments to come as the pain meds make me a bit fuzzy

for now the min pulse is set at 55❤️❤️
