I am on number five, they all hurt for a while after.  Sometimes they use an old entry point, sometimes they make a new scar, depends on the surgeon...In any case they cut you open, wiggled about in there for a while, and sewed you up, its going to hurt.  Just give it time, every day/week it will get better then you are back to forgetting it is there.

3rd pacemaker

Hi,

This is my third pacemaker and my third pair of leads. I just got them last week.

A also experienced more pain with this one, I'm guessing it is beacuse the doctor tried to remove the previous 3 leads that were damaged. Sadly, my doctor couldn't remove them so now I got 5 leads in my heart.

The OP was a little painful as I didn't want to be sedated nor O wanted to have lots of local anesthesia. It was a long OP, about 2 hours. I'm guessing I'll to get used to it as a break the leads easily and I have a lot of scar tissue inside.

Im one week in from my last OP and feelong a little better every single day. ImImoving my arm more, take tylenol and try to be active. Do some neck exercises to easy the shoulder and neck pain. They really help a lot.

I hope you feel better soon.

You know you're wired when...

Bad hair days can be blamed on your device shorting out.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
