Post Op Low Grade Fever and Body Aches

So I had the PM implant last Friday, 5 days ago, and the day after I woke up, still under the influence of the drugs, and went out to breakfast with my husband. I noticed that I seemed more alert. More oxygen to my brain I guess. Later that night when the drugs wore off I started feeling like I was getting the flu and took my temp. It was 99.3 and my normal is 97.6. Husband called the doctor and they said not to worry unless it got to be over 100. I took the pain pills, Norcor, and that eased it some but night and next day were miserable with pain and waves of nausea. Low grade fever continued. Every day has gotten a bit better. My conclusion is that either I was experiencing the toxicity of the drugs since I take no meds and do everything naturally, or my long standing Epstein Barr Virus reared it's ugly head because of the stress of the surgery. I expected it to be much easier. Has anyone else has a post op experience with low grade fever. Every day since my temp has been elevated in the evening.

ALSO, I have restless sleep. Would feel better if slept well.

low grade fever

I don't think it's uncommon at all to have an elevated temperature the first couple of days. I don't know if it's from stress or the drugs or both. My husband was running hot after ankle surgery and the doctor wasn't worried about it, said it was way too early for it to be infection.

I found it helpful to sleep hugging a small pillow. Kept me from rolling onto my sore side or raising the arm.

Waves of nausea

I felt nausea and fatigue after surgery. I drank alot of gingerale which helped. No fever though. I thought I got some sort of flu? but not 100% sure what it was.
