New defibrillator

Early june I took a stress test. they determined that my heart rate was not elevating properly. So they made a change to the defibrillator's settings. My heart rate went to 45 and it was supposed to be maintained at 60. Went back in a few days later and they determined that the leads weren't functioning right. But then a doctor said it was scar tissue in my heart that was causing the leads not to deliver the necessary charge to pace my heart. So they increased the power to the lead. At this time I had a year left on my battery life. by increasing the power to the lead they cut that time in half. A few days later a nurse from the Device clinic calls and says I need to come in. I go in and they discover that I now only have 4 months left on the battery. It seems that the lead was bad and drawing even more power So I was admitted to get my device and the leads changed. Funny thing about this whole situation is that when they made the adjustment and increased the power to the pacemaker. I hadn't felt that good since I was a teenager. Now I have the new device and walking to my car is a chore. I get so out of breath. It's completely diminished the quality of my life. They tell me the device and my lungs are both finctioning fine. My heart looks good. They made another adjustment to this new device but that hasn't improved the situation.

Tell them you don't much care what the tests say.  You now know what it's like to feel good, and this ain't it.  Fix it!  "Put 'em back...  ...they way they was!"

You know you're wired when...

You can proudly say you’re energy efficient.
