Recall Boston Scientific - Accolade MRI DR Pacemaker Model L311

In Jan. 2018 I had this pacemaker placed. Have had nothing but issues and are still having issues. The doctor who did the surgery says I just have to keep getting it adjusted, been adjusted twice, even though every EKG still shows events of Afib. I have constant pain, shortness of breath and various other issues.  After some online digging I found that it had been recalled in Dec. 2017. I added the FDA link. Is there anyone else with the same model having issues? The doctors keep saying I shouldn't be having these issues but fail to explain why I am. They say everything is "normal" but I am still having serious issues. I have an appointment Monday with a new cardiologist and I going to bring everything up and see what he says. Hopefully he'll be the listening type and not dismiss me like the other ones have been.

I think the issue that caused the recall has been fixed. In any case, this doesn't seem to be your problem. Boston claims to have an algorithm to help Afib but it's not been proven to be effective to many EPs.  Don't count on a pacemaker to do anything for Afib. They can be useful to counteract Bradycardia caused by rate and rhythm control drugs.

I've found that no matter what the question,  the answer, with respect to pacemakers is, "that's normal ". Doesn't matter what the question is.

BTW, I hope you're seeing an electrophysiologist for your electrical problems. The typical cardiologist isn't prepared to deal with these issues. My cardiologist says that he's a plumber. He doesn't do electrical work.
