Weird heart (?) episode last night.

I received my PM nearly four years ago due to asystole; and while I've definitely had times where I can feel it pacing like crazy, last night, I got home and was feeling fine. I sat down because I suddenly felt flushed and nauseous. I went and laid down, and was sweating profusely for about five minutes; I then cooled back down, and besides the headache afterwards, I felt fine. Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

I should mention I'm 38.

Panic attack?

Heart rate? Meds? Pacemaker type/mode?

You probably should have your pacemaker interrogated and the results sent to your EP and cardiologist.

pacemaker

i wouldn't think panic attack till it's been checked out. if it is learn to roll with them and eventually they go away. you know what upsets you so think about how you are going to avoid the stressors. i had them before 40 and they just went away one day.

thanks!

I did put a call into my cardiologist, explaining the systems. I haven't heard back yet (apparently he just returned from vacation!)

I had same symptoms before pacemaker

I had been experiencing shortness of breath for several months and finally had an ultrasound that revealed I had "severe aortic stenosis " - ie an almost blocked heart valve, caused by calcification. Whilst waiting to have surgery for that, I had same issues and thought I was having a heart attack . I went by ambulance to emergency department, where eventual conclusion was that I had had "a cardiac event". I guess that means they didn't really know what had happened  but at least my heart had not been damaged by it. Not sure if this helps any.
