Inner ear problems are unrelated to your heart stopping. Have you been to an ENT? An ENT will treat balance issues whether they're related to inner ear or not.

Thank you I know the inner ear problem came after I had the pacemaker fitted just wanted to know if anyone else feels this sick An poorly 4 months after having it fitted I have had settings changed 3 times so far this is all unsettling  I’m hoping to see ent doctor next months. I’m so sad at mo trying to cope x

Feeling badly after four months.

Feeling this badly months after pacemaker implant is unusual but not unheard of. There may still be an untreated problem.

You don't give any information about yourself so it's pretty hard to help more.

inner ear

It's unrelated to cardiac problems, timing is a coincidence. My youngest daughter who's in college has been dealing with this since last December, bad enough that I went and spent a month with her so I've learned a lot about it. They rule out causes first. She had tons of blood work, an mri both for masses and crystals in the inner ear, saw an ENT and neurologist for evaluation. Then they do balance testing to determine what exactly is happening and what the triggers are. We don't know what caused it and there is no way to make it go away so for her the next step was vestibular therapy, which is basically deliberately bringing it on and teaching her to live with it. This sounded crazy to me but I talked to 3 friends who are doctors and they all agreed that she had all the appropriate tests and this was the next thing to try. So, that's where she is now. She still gets it but the neurologist found some ways to minimize it and the vestibular therapist at the ENT taught her to cope.

Have you ever been to a chiropractor? Wondering if they did something to your neck during the surgery. That was the first thing we tried with my daughter. Didn't help her, but might be worth a try.

If it's crystals in the ear, there's a crazy thing a physical therapist can do with your head to reset them, Epley Maneuver. We thought this was the problem with my daughter at first because she'd had a bad ear infection a month before it all started, but the mri ruled that out, so the timing was coincidence.

So, get it checked out! There may be help for you outside the cardiologist. Start there just to rule out anything cardiac, but don't assume it's the pacer. We were told that it often goes away as randomly as it appeared. Brains are crazy, doctors know a lot but a lot of things are still a mystery. I hope you feel better soon.
