Just seen a copy of my discharge letter from the hospital after 3 week check up. It states "Angiography did not reveal obstructive disease and cardiac MRI revealed a normal heart structure. He has first degree block and right bundle. Single coil ICD lead to RV apex, pacing lead to right atrial appendage".
I do not fully understand the "He has first degree block and right bundle" bit is there a typo or something missing from this sentance?

Thanks for the link Short Hand I was more concerned with the word "and" in the sentance which may imply two conditions or just a typo. Will contact the Hospital in the morning to see what they say.

it's two descriptions of the same thing, not two conditions. First degree means it happens intermittently. RBB is where the block occurs in the heart. You have av block, the other terms are all adjectives describing the type of av block you have.

Thanks TraceyE so I would write that as "First degree block of the right bundle" would then make more sence to me.

Come on! He's a doctor. You're lucky you can read anything he's written! ;-)

The letter was dictated maybe he was drunk when he recorded it just out of theatre.

right bundle refers to right bundle branch block. First degree is how often you are in block, RBB is where the block happens.
