FDA to bolster cybersecurity of medical devices

http://www.startribune.com/fda-to-bolster-cybersecurity-of-medical-devices/492913731/

Don't let your imagination run away with you! This is all preventative and hypothetical. The article says "there’s never been a documented computer attack on a medical device that led to intentional patient harm."  Basically, the FDA is going to start requiring a plan to do cyber security analysis and  software updates on new devices submitted for approval.

hack

I've been here something like 10 years and this topic is older than me, that's why Smitty, Electric Frank and I got together and developed a protective device to prevent Russians from hacking devices.

It's a special helmet you wear made of rare earth metal Unobtanium (AKA aluminun foil) and it blocks radio and microwave signals, foiling hackers. The helmet comes in 3 sizes, small, medium, and you aren't very smart how can your brain be so big.

How much would you expect such a life saving device to cost, $199.95...no, how about $99.95...no, not even $79.95. we are making this special offer today only of just $49.95 for each helmet, and if you order now we'll throw on the instruction manual, a $35 value absolutely free but you must hurry and order now cause we can't make this offer forever.

$.05 of every purchase will be donated to the home for dissatisfied pacers

no second one for free?

Just have to pay the shipping and handling fee.

And yes I know it is posted regularly. And someone freaks out over it each time. This is a change from the FDA so it'll make news again so I was trying to nip it in the bud with some facts. If I was smart, I would have gotten my (superior) helmets ready for sale first and beat you to it. You can be sure mine will have the second one free after no fewer than 3 "But wait! There's more!!"  Yep, mine's gonna be better.

well...

You know you're wired when...

You have a shocking personality.
