Is it fine to take a shower after 6 weeks of surgery?Is it ok if the water comming from the shower to hit my incision area directly?

By all means, take a shower. I was told to not shower for 48 hours then shower as usual. Don't worry if the strips get wet.

I've been told not to get the wound wet for 7 days (dissolvable stitches). If they'd used surgical glue, I could have showered immediately.

... remember that how you dry the area can be important in avoiding infection too. Whilst I should think fine to shower, don't share your towel, and change it frequently (use for no more than 2 - 3 days at first).

Baths are OK after that long. My instructions were to keep it dry for 48hrs, no direct spray for two weeks, or until the Steri-Strips fell off.
