How long have you had your pacer!

Ok. Apologies if you have seen this before but I couldn't find my email when I checked for any replies ( if any)

Just curious to see how long people have had their pacers. I'm going into my 54th year.  Endless pacer changes and problems here and there.  However, I've managed to lead a normal life. I live in Sydney, have been married for 36 years and have 4 children. (All normal deliveries I might add)  I was 8 when I received my first and I'm 62 next week.

I did post my story a few years ago.  If anyone is interested I can do it again...

It's so cool to see someone who also got a pacemaker when they were young. I got my pacemaker when I was 7 months old, and I turn 19 in October so I've had mine for over 18 years now. And I would love to hear your story.

Hmm

Pacemaker = .75Y

Atlanta

Married = 47Y

Children = 1 (40Y, last Thursday)

No deliveries, of any kind - no normal children, either ;-)

Age 66Y

Story?  Sure, it sounds like you could write a page-turner!

You win!

We've had a couple of folks pass through who have been paced 40 years (+/-) and one regular member who is over 30 years. I'll hit 25 years next April. I remember your story, inspiring! Nice to see you back.

Yay for 54 years!!

first pacer 19, am 51, so a little over 30 years so far.  five devices.

You know you're wired when...

You fondly named your implanted buddy.

Just because you have a device doesn't mean you are damaged goods and can't do anything worthwhile and have to lie down and die. In fact, you're better and stronger. You're bionic!
