Tachycardia after vigorous jumping

I went to an aerobic class today and ive done vigorous jumping..after 3 hours i have palpitation...and my heart rate is more than 100 beats per minute and it is not going back to my normal heart rate which is 90 beats per minute..what i shoud i do ? Im very worried..

If you are worried, get off the computer and call your doctor. Do you have a home monitor? If so, do a download then call and ask them to check it. 

However, 100 isn't that high. My resting rate is usually 80 but sometimes it's 90 or 100. As long as it's not regularly over 100, my doctor isn't worried. If it routinely gets and stays over 100, they'll put us on something to keep it down. 

Have you had caffeine? Are you dehydrated or low on electrolytes? I've recently been putting a scoop of magnesium and an electrolyte tablet (nuun) in my post workout drink. It's been so hot and I've been working out harder than I have in past years so simply hydrating isn't enough.

A way to get your heart rate down- put your arms over your head so the rib cage can expand. Breath in through your nose slowly for a count of 3, hold for 3 seconds, breath out your mouth slowly for a count of 3. I do that a few times when my rate gets too high while working out, but it also helps at rest when it's high.

Stop jumping.

As TraceyE said 100 is no big deal. Far too many patients stress over every little bump in the road. A resting (normal) heart rate is 60 - 100 beats per minute. Worry and anxiety can easily elevate your hesrt rate. Stop and get a grip it's not a big deal.

Frankly I'd be far more worried it didn't rise above 100 after strenuous exercise.
