AV node ablation -- Miss Tick is now in control

I arrived at the hospital at 0800, left at 1300 -- ablation went well (so I'm told -- I dozed all the way through and din't notice a thing) and I am now being paced 100% of the time at 80 bpm. (They'll lower that to 60 bpm at my return visit in 4 weeks time).

It was really a total non-event -- I have a little discomfort where the cannula was put in the back of my hands, and restrictions on lifting (2 weeks) and driving (2 days) .

But overall, I feel great already.

I, too, found that an ablation was a total non-event. Success rates vary but the actual procedure is a piece of cake.  Hope you continue to feel great !

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
