Under muscle placement

I had a battery replacement surgery yesterday and had my pm moved to under the muscle.  I know from my surgeon and other posts that I would have more pain short term and it will be better long term. I’m excited about that as my other one was super sensitive and was not comfortable.  My question is how long is the recovery under muscle vs. under skin?   The pain is so much right now but I know it’ll get to be less.  I’m just trying to figure out how many days other people’s recovery was so I may get an approximate time frame for this.  I know everyone heals differently, but trying to get an average.  Thanks so much.

I also had an ICD placed under my muscle in late August. It did hurt for the first 5 days but after that I did not notice it that much. I took Motrin and it helped. The end of the pain is near. Nothing to worry about.
