Odd pulse rate when walking after implant

Hi

I had my first PM implanted last week, 17 October, and have been doing a lot of walking since.

Until today my pulse rate when walking was pretty consistently between 90- 100 [using a smart watch].

Today when I started my PR was 117.  Within 5 minutes it had dropped to the 50s. Quite regularly it fell into the 40s, as low as 41.  It went up when I stopped.  [Right now it 70 about 30 minutes after getting home].

However I was advised my PM is set to keep my rate above 50 bpm.

At no stage did I feel my PM "kick in".

Any thoughts?  I see my cardiologist on 1 November.

Any comments most welcome.

You are perfectly right Robin1.  I have been over-focusing on the "toy".... Without looking at it I felt fine.

However I will raise the matter with the cardio next week and see what wise words he has to offer.

I am not bothering to wear the smart watch atm.....
