I have a pacer, not an icd, and I'm not normally on meds anyway. My pregnancies were just like any other pregnancy. My cardio had a phone call with the OB, told him I did not need special treatment. His only stipulation was a heart monitor during delivery, told me that if things got drawn out or there was any sign of distress, there would be an immediate c-section. If the device fixes what's wrong, it shouldn't be an issue. It's a good idea to have the two docs talk. OB's don't know much about heart conditions, cardiologists don't know much about pregnancy.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
