Headache

I have a question, I am 4 1/2 weeks out from having my pacemaker surgery. I have intermediate AV node block. Since my two weeks check up, and adjustments to my Settings I experience being lightheaded and headaches every evening, seems like after I exert myself a little as far as taking a shower, doing small household chores, walking to the mailbox. Is anyone else experiencing this or has experienced lightheadedness and headaches every night. Thank you

Do  you check your blood pressure? Maybe the headaches and being lightheaded could be caused by a high BP.

Hi thank you for responding.Yes I thought the headaches  were from high blood pressure , because after the first setting  changed I started having high blood pressure.  But since I was back to see the Tec on Friday and she changed my settings  again now I’m experiencing low blood pressure. I still have the same light headedness and headaches that last every night for a few hours.

Headaches

I had my PM inserted 10/10 and also started having headaches mainly on my left side to the top of my head which really is new because I very very rarely have headaches , I noticed it after my 2nd voltage readjustment ( originally from 5 to 1.25 to .75) so it was when he changed it down to 1.25 . I’m a nurse and I told my Dr about my headaches and I asked if I’m getting enough perfusion ? He said you’re fine , pacemaker is not the issue and he left it at that . I’ve checked my BP a couple times while I was having headaches and both my pulse and BP were ok The last time I had headaches was last week .

I seriously think it’s one of those settings in the machine  . I hope we both resolve it

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
