Dec 5th is the big day

Hi All,

After a failed surgery in June, lots of doctor trips and a second opinion from Cleveland Clinic, a new solution is going to be attempted in two days time.

Three teams of surgeons will attempt removing my two SVC leads that are dying via laser lead removal and then insert 3 more with a new CRT-P.  I have SVC blockage and the dual chamber I currently have is not doing the job correctly since my ventricles after 26 years of pacing, are beating out of time and my ejection fracture is 33%...the drugs I’ve been on for almost s year make me drowsy.

Looking forward to being ‘human’ again - makes me realize how much we take for granted and how amazing our bodies actually are.

I’m sticking with St. Jude...oi

Is Cleveland doing your surgery? Best wishes for an easy surgery and recovery. Check in, let us know how it goes.

Thanks

No-Northwestern is, Cleveland said they’re good and would be doing the same thing so I am in good hands...very decent of Cleveland to purely give me the second opinion with no strings attached :)

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didn’t slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.
