Site pain years after implant

I had a Medtronic sure scan implanted at the end of 2012 to help with some syncope. Over the past year I lift anything heavy I get shoulder pain and then my lymphnodes around my PM swell up and hurt. Over the year it has taken less and less movement for pain to occur. My last visit in May I brought this up and Doc said it was in the right place and I must have just been hitting the device. I am 35 and have two young kids so not lifting things with my left arm isn't a viable option. Anyone have any tips? At this point I am thinking about just removing the device as I am not reliant on it. The implant was just to help with Nuero Cardio Geninc Syncope.
