Update!

Hi All,
I thought it was time to give a full update. So most of you know I spent 14 days in the hospital and am finally at home recoverying. I just got my PICC Line out today and what exciting news that is for me. I hated waking up at 3:30 in the morning to give myself antibiotics what a pain. I am happy to say that my infection is finally cleared. Over 4 weeks of antibiotics and it is finally cleared my blood work came back cleared.
I still am facing a lot of healing and am pretty dependent on pain killers which makes me concern but they say it will be hard coming off of them but they will get me to the point of not needing them it will take a while.
All three of my incisions are finally closed that took the longest amount of time but it sure is nice to have them closed and too be able to take a good shower.
I hope that soon I will have more energy and be able to get on more often but please know that you are all in my thoughts.

Much love and many Blessings,
Tammy

What a great Thursday morning to see a post from someone I have been thinking about. Glad you are on your way to feeling better. Your posts are missed and I know everyone will be glad to see you back.

Hang in there, we are thinking about you.

Welcome Back

It's lovely to hear your good news, Tammy, and welcome back to the Club. We've missed you and it's jolly good you're feeling equal to pooting once again. Take care of yourself and let yourself get well at your body's own rate. Don't push it. It must feel marvellous to be back home in your familiar, comfort zone. It's my firm belief that healing takes place at home not in a hospital - that's where you go to get mended! Be safe and well. Heaps of love, Sheila

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
