my pacemaker and a tens machine

has anyone ever had any issues using a ten machine with their pacemakers? Physio uses one on my lower back and now I have an ache on the left side of my chest, just wondering if its from the tens machine or just coincidence.

I have a St Jude pacemaker, not a CRT-D.

I have used TENS on both my lower back and my lower left arm, with no ill effects--no effect at all on my pacemaker. I doubt if the pain in your chest is related to use of TENS. That said, I am not a doctor.

If you have questions the best person to ask is your EP.

i asked if i could use my tens machine and was told very definately no

I was told extremeties is ok but not the torso. I was, however, told that after I used it a few times lol. When in doubt, ask them to interrogate. If you have a home monitor, send a download. They can tell if anything is off.
