Well here we are again, tomorrow I go in for third pacemaker since 2013. My battery is officially EOL & we are moving the new one subpectorally. Being left handed, my current one came out of pocket 4 years ago & it’s almost completely poking through my skin. Has anyone had theirs moved from under skin to subpectoral? How was the recovery? This is the last pacemaker I will most likely get before I officially get added to the transplant list. Needless to say I am anxious about this one.

I have been medically retired since my second open heart in 2013. I complained about it rubbing against my collar bone but insurance wouldn’t replace it until the battery was low enough.

My pm was about to come through my skin so my next one was subpectoral. There was swelling and I took about 6 weeks off and then went back to a physical job. Pms are a lot smaller now, I'm surprised yours moved.
