HR 44-51 no heart problems

Hi I am 44 and have all tests on my heart and it's fine apart from Brady. It was picked up after a hysterectomy 4 years ago. No under active thyroid. I used to keep fit but lately if I exercise it takes days to recover.  I wake with a dull ache in chest especially day after exercise, I get light headed on occasions, occasional palpitations, and I'm constantly shattered sleeping more. Will they still put a PM in with no other heart problems ? Feel like I'm going around the bend

Plumbing v electricity

From my experience, Brady can be fairly debilitating and the description of your symptoms suggest it may be time for you to help your heart increase your oxygen levels.

My cardio says I have a heart and veinous system other would pay big bucks for...the plumbing and pump work great, but the electricity keeps greying out....was going down to 10bpm without passing out...VERY stubborn and know just how to thump my chest, freeze and breathe! Try keeping that unobtrusive! The danger comes in at night where my HR was falling to single digits - I had a reveal implanted.

I already feel a lot better since the implant at the end of Jan. Nothing is perfect but I can manage my day - teaching- much better now. The tradeoff is definitely worth it. I am not ready to go gently into that good night!

The best of luck as you navigate this difficult but important decision!

A low heart rate + symptoms is all you should need to qualify for a pacer. Most of us don't have other health or heart problems.

Bradycardia was my issue much of what you describe

Depends on the cause and the severity but usually it is how low does it go thing. The fact that you are dizzy and weak, same with me they did tests and determined my heart rate actually dipped down to 30 at times. As Robin said sleep apnea is part of the testing. I received an Apap and had full pulmonary testing too. As soon as those were ruled out as the issue they started heart testing. Overall my heart itself was healthy but my heart electrical system wasn’t. I am heading for a pacemaker in the next few weeks. I was a little frustrated with the process but I understand a pacemaker is a big deal so be patient as they make sure that is what you need.
