Has anybody here had a regular stress test to see how high you can get your Heart rate up. I have a stress test on Wednesday my cardiologist wants to see so they have a much better understanding at what the upper limit and settings need to be set at. Currently my settings are at 60/145. I wanted some feedback for those that had one as a tool the Drs can use.
I see my EP today for a checkup since my last rate increase. I am pacer dependent and I'm curious as to what they might do on Wednesday assuming my upper limit is still 145. I am guessing the ekg will show what I am pacing at vs what I am trying to get my heart rate to.

My EP raised my device limit to 165. She said on occasion I was pushing 150. but not often which my expalin my symptoms I don't know. I will know exactly what my limitations are on Wendsday after my test this is good. I am going to ask if I can wear my arm band hr monitor so I can see how accurate it is with my device

The arm band monitor shouldn't interfere with anything they do, great idea to compare them.
It's good to have a cushion over your upper limit. You want the pacer set 10-15 higher than you plan to need so your new limit will hopefully do the trick!
Pushed to 180

I was having difficulty going up stairs and inclines. My ep put me on a tread mill all hooked up. They discovered that when I hit 160 my pacemaker kicked in and brought me down to 80. I was dizzy and had a hard time breathing They have since raised it and I’m feeling great. Good luck it’s an easy test.
Question maybe one of you knows the answer

So, I had my test done the pacer is doing what it should and if my EP wants to tweak any settings I will get a call in a few days. My question is when I was having the test done my HR dropped quite a bit while I was exercising I think I started around 100-105 and it dropped to the mid 80's and or 90's I think., they then had me at a big incline around 3.4 or 3.6 speed I forget but my HR decided to spike quite a bit and at that point the nurse lowered the treadmill and I was about done. Why did this happen according to my app and fitness arm band my average HR was about 97 and the high was 149 for the durration of my treadmill activity that also included sitting and waiting. It was a drastic spike out of nowhere. I forget the term the dr used but my guess is I was nervous at the start and then my heart started to settle down. I see my cardio again next month I will ask him.
Good news is that my scosche rhythm+ is accurate with what the test was showing.
my initial hr. zones were zone1 6min36, zone2 1min32, zone3 53seconds according to my Garmin app

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.

I've had several stress tests in order to fine tune settings. I got on a treadmill while hooked up to the ekg, blood pressure, O2sat and the pacer computer. They start it slow then watch what our heart does as we increases speed. Super easy and very efficient way to fix the settings because they are watching what the heart and pacer do.
